15-day curfew in Maharashtra: Film and TV industry await permission to shoot in a bio bubble in the state | Hindi Movie News

Film and TV industries continue to face a dilemma as they await a green signal from the state government to allow them to shoot in a bio bubble. Ashok Dubey, the general secretary of FWICE said, “We are waiting for a positive reply from the government to allow us to shoot in a bio bubble, but the post-production work of films and TV shows, which is done under sanitised and isolated environment, continues in Bollywood.”

Of course, some films have already started planning to shift their shoot outside Maharashtra. “There are production units that are shifting shootings including that of Rajkumar Santoshi, who is shooting for his film, ‘Nathuram Godse; in Bhopal. Balaji Telefilms has also moved some of its shooting to Goa and the ‘Shabaash Mithu’ unit has gone to Hyderabad for a recce,” informs Dubey.

The YRF and Dharma production sets are lying half done and therefore may resume shooting once the state opens up and shooting is allowed. Over half a dozen actors have tested positive in the last month. “The Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray, gave us very important advice, when he told us that we should avoid those members who come from containment zones as only then will we able to avoid infection on sets. We, as FWICE, therefore, advise all celebrities and film units to check the area from where their team members are coming and if need be, replace them,” he further reveals.
