Giving fans an added reason to cheer was J-Hope and Jung Kook who dropped some exciting details about the upcoming single. Revealing what sets ‘Butter’ apart from their 2020 summer hit ‘Dynamite’, J-Hope said in an interview with Billboard, “Butter and Dynamite are two different songs and ‘Butter’ focuses more on showing each of our charms.”
He went on to add that the recording process of the song was “very smooth.”
ARMY can expect this dance number to have a typical ’80s-inspired, synth-bass fusion. The music video, on the other hand, is expected to see the boys bring on their stylish, slick and smooth side as they work their charm on ARMY.
Ahead of the album drop, the boys treated fans to their teaser images that were dubbed “delicious.”

With this new song, BTS and the worldwide BTS ARMY will look forward to smashing a long list of records they created with ‘Dynamite’, including the fastest MV to cross 100 million and 1 billion views on YouTube. It remains to be seen if they can top their own record and record the highest views for a music video in 24 hours.
BTS clocked many firsts with ‘Dynamite’, including a Grammy Award nomination at the 2021 award ceremony. While they were tipped to be the favourites, they lost out to Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande‘s ‘Rain On Me’.
‘Dynamite’ also became the longest-charting single by a Korean artist on the Billboard 100 list. They beat out PSY’s long-standing ‘Gangnam Style’ record by staying on the top for 36 weeks.
