Filmmaker Amole Gupte on shoots involving kids: Why put children through this? | Hindi Movie News

With medical experts warning that the third wave of COVID-19 likely to hit children, the producers have to wind up shoots involving kids before the wave arrives or totally avoid it.

Film associations like FWICE and CINTAA have still not taken a call on it yet, however, filmmaker Amole Gupte who has just recovered from the deadly disease is of the opinion that children should not be allowed to shoot at all.

Talking about the same, he said, “I personally got COVID-19 from a film shoot where I was acting. I lost 7 kgs in 20 days! Thank God I live to tell the tale!!! Why put children through this. Or are we going to wait for the 3rd wave to strike us in full force to wake us up one more time.”

Several shoots have been shifted to different states as Maharashtra is currently under lockdown-like restrictions which are in place to curb the spread of Coronavirus.

On the work front, the filmmaker who has helmed films like ‘Taare Zameen Par’, ‘Stanley Ka Dabba’ directed Parineeta Chopra‘s recent release ‘Saina’.
