The two got engaged in September last year in Hyderabad, when Vishnu surprised the ace badminton player on her birthday with a ring. Jwala also shared pictures from her bachelorette party last month.
Giving us deets about the wedding, the actor says, “It’s going to be a registered marriage. We wanted to be responsible at a time when the number of COVID-19 cases is on the rise. So, we chose to keep it a closed family-and-friends-only affair. We had plans of hosting a reception as well, but we have pushed that for now, until things get better.”
Vishnu will reach Hyderabad early next week. “I’m shooting for Mohandas in the city. Once I wrap up this schedule, which will be either on April 19 or 20, I’ll head to Hyderabad,” he says, adding, “There will be small pre-wedding traditions, which will be held at home.”
The actor admits that Jwala was the one who planned their big celebration. “Right from the trousseau to other details, she has taken care of everything. I guess I’ll just reach the venue and get married,” he says with a laugh.
So, do they have honeymoon plans? “No. Like I said, the situation is not that great and so, we may not really go anywhere now. After our wedding, we’ll spend a few days with family and friends. And then, it’s back to work,” he signs off.
