Reminiscing about his childhood days, Arko relayed, “Every morning at 7 am sharp, before going to school, my mother would feed me with her own hands. Later, once I was older, I almost felt embarrassed of it, but it would fill my tummy and heart at the same time. It didn’t stop almost till I was in high school.”
Lauding her management skills, the composer added, “I wish I had her management skills. How she has run a huge house when we had a joint family set-up earlier, with guests all year round, along with simultaneously juggling a prolific academic career as the professor of literature in Lady Brabourne College, Kolkata, bewilders me. I’ve always struggled to handle even small apartments in Mumbai alongside work”.
To conclude, Arko thanks his stars for inheriting the one thing that matters from his mom. “Thankfully, I got the writing gene from her though,” he signed off.
