Raj Kundra pornography case: Sagarika Shona Suman on being lured to join adult film industry; says, ‘Was asked for nude audition’ | Hindi Movie News


After Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband and businessman Raj Kundra has been sent for police custody till July 23 in a pornography-related case, actress Sagarika Shona Suman opened up about being lured and coerced by Raj Kundra and his associates allegedly to join the adult film industry.

The actress told Times Now that last year she was approached for a web series and was asked to appear for a nude audition over a call attended by 3 unidentified people. Expressing her shock over the audition criteria, the actress further claimed that she continued to receive treats for rejecting the said film.

Sagarika further said while she tried to forget the alleged incident as a bad experience, she thought of raising her voice against the exploitation of women after Raj Kundra’s name surfaced in similar reports. Earlier in February, the actress held a press conference for the same.

On the other hand, an undated video of actress Sagarika Shona Suman is going viral where she claimed that she got a call from one Umesh Kamat, who offered her a web series owned and produced by Raj Kundra. She was further asked to give an audition on a video call was demanded to give a nude audition.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Police has accessed some electronic evidence which hints that Raj Kundra believed that live streaming of sexual acts was the future. The report further quotes Mumbai Police sources who claimed that Raj Kundra planned to make his porn business as big as Bollywood.

Besides Raj Kundra, the Mumbai police have also arrested his IT person Ryan J. Tharpe. Previously, nine people have been arrested in this case, namely, TV actress Gehna Vashisht, Yasmin R. Khan, Monu Joshi, Pratibha Nalavade, M. Atif Ahmed, Dipankar P. Khasnavis, Bhanusurya Thakur, Tanvir Hashmi, and Umesh Kamath.
