Shilpa Shetty’s husband, Raj Kundra was arrested last night in a case relating to the creation of pornographic films and publishing them through some mobile apps. The businessman has been remanded by the court in police custody till July 23.

Within a few hours of his arrest, the news started trending on social media and it kick-started a meme fest on social media. Netizens also trolled the star husband for his Twitter bio that read, ‘Life is all about making the right choices.’

Not just that, even Kundra’s Instagram posts, where he regularly uses a face morphing app to recreate popular English movie clips into funny videos got attention for all the wrong reasons. On Monday, July 19, he posted a similar video where his face is morphed onto a clip from a James Bond movie. In the video Kundra’s face is morphed onto James Bond as he rides a tank recklessly through city roads, smashing cars and property. He captioned the video “Nothing can stop you today, because your are a TANK. As always”. On the post though, Kundra wrote, “Road blocks are temporary! Nothing can stop you! #mondaymotivation #rajmantra #quote #gratitude”. There was a barrage of comments on this post on Tuesday, after Kundra’s arrest. While some followers even speculated if Kundra’s post had a cryptic meaning. They wondered if he was hinting at not being bogged down by the Mumbai police’s investigation and subsequent arrest.

Raj Kundra has been arrested by the Mumbai Police as the key conspirator in a pornography-related case. The Mumbai Police Commissioner, Hemant Nagrale, confirmed the arrest in a statement that read, “There was a case registered with Crime Branch Mumbai in February 2021 about the creation of pornographic films and publishing them through some Apps. We’ve arrested Mr Raj Kundra in this case on 19/7/21 as he appears to be the key conspirator of this.” He also went on to state, “We have sufficient evidence regarding this. The investigation is in progress.”
