How are you both doing now?
Sukriti: We had it one-and-a-half months ago, when things weren’t so bad, but we have recovered now and have antibodies. It’s really heartbreaking to see everything that is happening around us, especially after we went through it personally. We are praying for the people of our country.
A lot of Covid patients complain of weakness even after testing negative…
Prakriti: Honestly, we were really fortunate to have had an asymptomatic Covid journey. Symptoms like fever, cold and other things were in control. Comparatively, Sukriti had more symptoms than me. Although we are usually active in our daily lives, we, too, still feel some amount of fatigue even after recovery.
Sukriti: It can also be due to the lockdown, but I do get tired easily now.
Are you following any specific workout routine or diet post-recovery?
Prakriti: We are doing yoga for an hour every day but nothing intense. It’s something very basic with simple stretches or running if possible, just to get some movement.
Sukriti: In fact, when I got Covid, I remember I was working out and later I couldn’t even sit with all the body pain and soreness. It was so disastrous that I had to take painkillers. It was really scary!
Now that song releases are either getting stuck or going the digital way, what do you plan to do?
Sukriti: The only thing constant right now is change and, as a singer, we need to keep reinventing our music. I think the good part is that the lockdown gave us time to think about our content. We have back-to-back singles ready as audio, but the video is stuck for the release. But we are just waiting and hoping for things to get better. For musicians, concerts, gigs, and shows are important but that can’t happen now. So, I think the only thing we can do is take help from digital.
Prakriti: No one has seen the future. The only thing we can do is learn to adapt to the present.
What projects do you have in the offing?
Sukriti: As I just mentioned, a lot of work is ready and waiting to be put out. However, as artists, we feel even if we were to release something right now, it’s not the correct time. There are better things that need our attention. Our work can wait and we shall tell you about it at a better time.
Prakriti: We will be guilty if we release our music right now. Even I am not in the headspace to promote a song or shoot for one. But I can tell you that if things become fine, by June or July you will hear about our next song.
